Insights

Pipedrive and Salesforce.com, two of the most popular cloud-based CRM platforms, have been around for some time. However, they are becoming more similar in terms of their functions and user experiences. Both these companies have similar user bases and work methods. We have compared the differences between Pipedrive & Salesforce to help you decide which one is right for your company.

Pipedrive vs Salesforce: What’s a CRM?

CRM (Customer Relations Management) software allows you to manage customer relationships. It allows customers to interact and communicate via automated methods, such as phone calls or email.

It not only tracks the contact information of clients but also records the interactions between people so that they can be accessed later when necessary.

Learn the differences between Pipedrive & Salesforce to help you make an informed decision about which one is best for your company.

What are the main features of Pipedrive and Salesforce?

Pipedrive has a smaller feature set than Salesforce. Salesforce allows you to list contacts as well as assign tasks to contacts, track expenses, and calculate taxes. This platform is ideal for businesses that deal with online transactions, such as donations or payments through websites. It also offers many tools that will allow you to manage customer interactions via different channels (email marketing campaigns and event management, etc.). All customer interactions can be managed from one dashboard. Salesforce automatically monitors your client’s social media accounts and provides tools to track their online activity.

Pipedrive, however, is focused on automating customer relationship management systems for small businesses. It combines a simple user interface with powerful features like task creation and contact lists. This software is primarily designed for small businesses that need to track incoming orders and outbound purchases from customers’ public profiles via email communication or telephone calls.

Pipedrive offers four packages that can be tailored to meet the needs of different professionals. These include small business owners who need to manage multiple clients from one dashboard to large enterprises with many customers. Pipedrive also offers several packages that are free to freelancers and startups.

Pipedrive or Salesforce: The implementation process

Your current customer relationship management system integration situation will determine which platform you choose. You might consider Pipedrive if you’re just beginning as a freelance software developer/ designer. Then you can build your solutions using it. Salesforce is the best choice for larger companies, such as if one of your departments needs an ERP or CRM solution. Salesforce has a large selection and a lot of integrations.

Pipedrive Vs Salesforce: Pricing plans

All you need is a customer relationship management system to allow you to manage multiple clients from one location while also giving you complete control over their information (email campaigns, etc.). Pipedrive is the best choice. You can try it for free for a few days and then evaluate its features to decide if you want to pay for it.

Pipedrive’s packages differ mainly in the prices they charge. For example, Starter Plan is $200 per month and Professional Plan is $200 per month. The latter will increase depending on how much you use. You will pay more for advanced features like Merchant Integration and Custom Reports.

Salesforce pricing can be more complex and expensive if you need to use some of the advanced features. Make sure you carefully review their packages! Pipedrive may be better if you need to create leads, manage existing clients, and send emails. Pipedrive has simpler pricing options that don’t include hidden fees. Everything is online, so you don’t have to download anything.

Pipedrive vs: Support & Customer Service

Your data will be stored on their servers, which could cause some issues. If things go wrong, which sometimes they do, it can be a problem when you try to contact them. However, these issues are often resolved very quickly so this shouldn’t pose a problem for most people.

Pipedrive vs Salesforce: Which one should your business choose?

Pipedrive and Salesforce are not easy choices. Both offer great features that will help you grow your business.

Pipedrive is a simpler CRM than I recommend if you are just starting, or haven’t used one for a while (about 2 years). Pipedrive’s setup is very simple. Although it may seem like there is no difference, once you get to know the functions and start using them, you will notice significant improvements.

If you are still unsure about which one to choose, I recommend researching and reading what other people have to say. Many people praise Salesforce for being more user-friendly than Pipedrive. It also depends on the organization you work for, so consider all aspects before making a decision.

Pipedrive vs Salesforce: Why do you choose one over another?

The differences between Pipedrive and Salesforce are very clear when it comes to selecting between them. While it is easy to compare their features, many personal preferences can impact these types of decisions. I will discuss some of the things you need to consider before making your final decision.

  1. Use – Every CRM offers various features and functionalities to suit different businesses. Pipedrive is a good choice if you have a limited budget. It can be used by up to 500 people in most cases. However, if you need to use Salesforce for multiple purposes or have many users (or one large team), then Pipedrive might be a better option.
  2. Integration – The biggest difference between Pipedrive and Salesforce is the ease with which you can integrate with other tools. It is possible to integrate Salesforce with almost any API that you can think of. This is especially important if your industry involves regular contact with large vendors. It is easy to connect these various pieces seamlessly together, which saves time and allows you to add more functionality or set up new features without needing to install additional software or create multiple workflows.
  3. Price – Pipedrive’s software pricing is quite high. If you have a tight budget this could be an issue. Pipedrive charges $99/month for a base plan that allows unlimited users. But, that’s just one of the many options they offer. You can also choose from additional plans where you don’t have to pay more. The Enterprise plan, which allows up to 5,000 users, costs $299 per month, while the Unlimited Premium Plan is $799 per mo!

Which platform is best for your business: Pipedrive or Salesforce?

It’s not always easy to make the right decision. Pipedrive offers many of Salesforce’s features but is much cheaper. Salesforce offers a complete service for a much higher cost.

Both platforms may be superior depending on your needs, particularly if you are:

  • Pipedrive can connect multiple tools. As we’ve already mentioned, Pipedrive can integrate with many other tools so that you get the most from their software. It means that even if there are issues, which is unlikely, they can be easily fixed as all the tools should work seamlessly together.
  • Third-party integrations are desired (e.g. Zapier, Quickbooks, etc.) Working with certain applications/tools can be made easier by having access through Salesforce. This will make it much easier for all involved in the creation of new processes and automation within your company. There are many other third-party integrations that you can use. However, these are the ones I have personally used.
  • Pipedrive is more than a CRM. While Pipedrive is primarily geared towards sales and leads generation, they can also track your marketing activities using their system. This means that they offer a lot more functionality under one roof. Although it’s not as comprehensive as other services, such as Hubspot, it is still a great service. Hubspot is not as comprehensive as some of its competitors
  • Pipedrive is a visual way to manage admin. It allows you to create reports and dashboards, and view real-time data. This makes Pipedrive a great choice for business owners/CEOs who need something simple, but not as detailed as their competitors (e.g. Freshbooks). Salesforce is the focus of this article. There’s no need to have anyone else use it if they don’t want it. I doubt most people will.

Pipedrive vs Salesforce: Reporting Functionality & Analytics

Analytics is an integral part of any CRM software. However, some might argue otherwise. It’s crucial to consider how easy they are to use, and what type of reporting you have. Pipedrive offers a variety of reports that can be accessed via their interface. However, it all depends on whether you have been upgraded or decreased in your account.

The Basic Report contains the most basic metrics, such as leads or sales.

Advanced Reports provide more detailed reports with greater granularity (e.g. You can drill down to specific areas. This is useful for large companies and those who require more detail. However, I only use it when I’m working on an important project.

Pipedrive’s Sales Dashboard allows me to view the status of my campaigns at any hour of the day or week. This is something I love. This feature allows me to create reports that can be shared with my sales team. It also gives me more insight into the campaigns I’m working on.

Pipedrive Vs Salesforce: Conclusion

Pipedrive is an excellent tool for startups and small businesses that want to manage customers’ information. However, it’s not the best. This service is more advanced than many of its rivals, which offer simpler tools and similar functionality (e.g. HubSpot). Pipedrive’s base package doesn’t offer as much value as the Pipedrive software on paper. You will need to upgrade if your company requires more than basic lists.
